Section Strategies
Use the 30–45 seconds before the recording starts to read the questions carefully. Identify what type of information each gap needs (name, number, date, address, time, etc.).
→Underline the key words around each blank — this tells you what kind of answer is needed
→Predict possible answers: a gap after 'Cost: £___' expects a number
→Note the order — answers always come in the order of the recording
→Check word limits: 'Write NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS AND/OR A NUMBER' means you cannot write three words
